Meredith Doench

Meredith Doench is the author of the Luce Hansen Thriller series. Crossed, the first in the series, won Silver in the 2015 IndieFab Awards (Mystery). In 2017, Crossed was awarded the Mary Dasher Award for fiction from the College English Association of Ohio. The second novel in the series, Forsaken Trust, was published in 2017, followed by Deadeye in 2019. All were mystery/thriller Goldie Award finalists in their respective years from the Golden Crown Literary Society. Whereabouts Unknown, a stand-alone thriller, was published in 2022.

Doench’s works of short fiction and nonfiction have appeared in literary journals such as Hayden’s Ferry Review, Women’s Studies Quarterly, and The Tahoma Literary Review. She was one of the founding associate prose editors of the literary journal Camera Obscura: Journal of Literature and Photography and currently serves on the board of Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter. She is a senior lecturer of creative writing, literature, and composition at the University of Dayton in Ohio.
