- 21 Questions has two main characters. Kenya Davis has a very good career, and is known in business circles for her ability to find perfect employees. She, however, has had no luck with finding a perfect mate. She is intrigued by handsome Simone Bailey, a bartender at one of the top nightclubs in South Beach. When Simone is not bar tending she is pursuing her musical ambitions, and having some success. Kenya and Simone meet when Simone mixes Kenya a drink. Simone proposes that Kenya, over time, answer twenty-one questions as they get to know each other. What follows are some romantic ups and downs, and two very well developed, and well rounded interesting characters.

- My first time as a reader of Mason Dixon..........bu certainly not my last.
  A real page turner I was in Simone. corner from page 1, plus I was eagerly reading for the next question.
  Through out the book felt the need to give each question my own honest answer :)

- This is my first Mason Dixon read and I have to admit she's created a new fan....Dixon does a really good job here of not falling into the usually cliche situations that books with love triangles seem to require. The other reason I liked this one is that Dixon didn't leave her readers in limbo as to which love interest to root for. There is definitely one person for the reader to hope wins the day, even as we hope for our main character to start seeing both of them more clearly. It's difficult to see the situation that develops, and Dixon does a good job of making the relationships something that progress organically, and yet in a way that ratchets up the tension for the readers. We want things to go the way we think they should, but at the same time, the choices the characters make are so in keeping with their personalities that we aren't sure how things are going to work out the way we want them to.
  
  Now add in what I thought was the most intriguing part of the plot - the 21 questions from Simone to Kenya. I have to admit I really, really enjoyed these. Even with everything else I enjoyed about this story, those questions had me turning pages. I was almost disappointed with the abrupt switch in planned questions at the end. I want to go back and know more of what Simone really wanted to ask. In all, I was definitely entertained by this story and I know it's one I'll definitely put on my reread shelf.

- So OBVIOUSLY I was intrigued by this book due to the title. I mean, it's a play on the 50 Cent song right? Adolescent me loves it. Slightly older *cough, cough* me loves the cover, which is the reason I requested the ARC. Just look at that cover. Not your average romance book cover that's for sure. Two women of color on the cover of a romance novel? SIGN ME UP!
  
  This was a fun and easy read. Kenya, a talented and successful career woman becomes interested in two women: the first is a fun and attractive bartender and the other is a highly successful owner of a nightclub (as well as various other business). Kenya's heart was broken by her previous girlfriend, a fun freeloader who cheated on her and almost ruined her financially. Understandably, she is nervous about dating someone new and is looking for someone who she doesn't have to support financially. This pushes her to date Mackenzie, a very wealthy and sexy woman who has a wild dating history as well as a long history of infidelity. Kenya doesn't allow herself to see Simone the bartender as a dating prospect because she assumes she is unsuccessful and unreliable.
  
  I completely understood this. Who hasn't had a bad break-up and went looking for someone who was the complete opposite of our previous partner? And I sure as hell don't want to date someone who is a freeloader - someone I can't count on. Kenya takes this to the extreme and shuts down (or attempts to at least) any romantic or sexual feelings she has towards Simone, even when it is SO OBVIOUS she wants her. EVERYONE knows it Kenya. Except for maybe Kenya herself.
  
  One of the things that bothers me about romance novels is that so many of them don't ever write about relationships that don't work. Which sounds silly right? Obviously if you're reading a romance novel, you're expecting the couple to get together and stay that way. But I think that's why I don't read a lot of romance novels anymore (besides queer romance or romance with some fantasy or sci-fi thrown in), because they can be so boring and don't feel realistic. I know we're not always looking for realistic if we're reading romance. OBVIOUSLY. But it is okay for authors to occasionally show us how difficult it can be to find someone that we connect with (aside from having your MC make a joke or comment about previous relationships). This novel definitely does that....
  
  Overall, I enjoyed the book. A very realistic and cute romance between two awesome ladies with great friendships and complicated families thrown in!

- I'm a fan of Yolanda Wallace's books, and after I heard Mason Dixon was her pen name, I was excited to read this story. I also was happy for the diversity in this book. Instead of only maybe one person, all the main characters were black. I feel like it doesn't happen in books enough, so I was glad to see it.
  
  The story is about Kenya, who desperately wants to be in a committed relationship, out speed dating at a popular lesbian club. Kenya feels an attraction to the wealthy club owner Mackenzie and the bartender Simone. Well she settle for the successful choice, or follow her heart?
  
  I use to think I was not a fan of love triangles. They seemed too cliche and frustrating. After reading a few love triangle stories recently, I'm starting to change my tune. While as a reader it is obvious who Kenya should be with, I enjoyed how things unfolded and I quickly got into the story.
  
  The real star of this book is Simone. She is extremely well written and so darn likable. I'm kind of on the fence about Kenya. She was so frustrating at times. Kenya was extremely judgmental and a horrible judge of character. I absolutely wanted to shake her more than once. I did feel genuinely sorry for her at other times, and rooted for her to have a HEA. What I really enjoyed most about this book was the 21 questions and seeing a relationship form from them...
  
  I enjoyed reading this and am looking forward to more Wallace/Dixon books in the future.
